Lt. Col (Retd) Sunny Thomas
As General Manager (administration), Lt Col (retired) Sunny Thomas oversees the management of all hospital facilities including fire &safety, security, housekeeping, transport, estate, maintenance and biomedical engineering. He is also the Facility Safety Officer and chairs the Facility Safety Committee of the hospital. In addition to that he has the added responsibility of monitoring front office operations and customer relations at BMH.
He joined BMH in January 2010, after 23 years of Army service where he provided engineering support to equipment including medical equipment. He specialised in armaments and night vision devices and was served for several years in hostile conditions and the extreme weather at the LoC along Jammu & Kashmir and Nagaland. He also served in the elite National Security Guards (Black Cat Commandos), Defence Research & Development Organisation and the Directorate General of Quality Assurance.
This former Army man retired voluntarily from Defence Research & Development Laboratory, Hyderabad, where he was the lead Reliability Engineer in several projects.
He did his MTech in Reliability Engineering from IIT Bombay after getting his graduation degree from Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh.
