Neonatology
Our 20-bedded level 3 NICU is fully equipped with the latest technology and well-trained doctors and supportive staffs. The neonatology department is led by highly qualified and experienced neonatologist and supported by trained pediatricians. Our NICU takes care of premature neonates as early as 23 weeks and also extremely low birth weight babies as low as 400 grams. We have all modern neonatal ventilators including high-frequency ventilators. our TPN unit ensures nutrition for premature and extreme low birth weight babies. We have a bedside ECHO and ultrasound machine for his babies. We do metabolic and hearing screening for these babies. We have separate outborn and isolation facilities to prevent cross-infection.
We have a 24-hour in-house neonatologist available. we have a dedicated neonatal transport team with a mobile ICU unit fully equipped with transport ventilators and portable warmers. Our NICU is supported by trained pediatric surgeon for handling surgical emergencies.

Dr. Prasad Kumar is a senior consultant in neonatology. He has managed the prestigious institutes NICU and he has vast experience and a huge number of follow-up babies. The smallest baby encountered was 400grams weight and is doing well without any morbidities. He is well experienced in neonatal ventilation including high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, cooling therapy, total parental nutrition, central lines, neonatal echo, and ultrasound. He is having a number of publications of that neonatal sepsis and neonatal jaundice were the major ones.

- Postgraduation and super specialization from a prestigious institute of national importance with a gold medal.
