Dr. K V Sahasranam, MD, who always stood bold with a stubborn approach for providing better care to the patients, plays a leading role in coordinating the entire medical staff and also effectively implementing the clinical care strategy.Based on the policy of ensuring quality service, Dr. Sahasranam, the most reputed senior consultant in Cardiology of BMH also holds the responsibility in examining the multidisciplinary clinical services provided by the hospital.
He is also entrusted with the tasks of formulating medical policies and overseeing the work of medical staff.
By inducing the perfect knowledge of medicine into the minds of students, Dr. Sahasranam also serves as the director of the BMH Academy and also ensures the quality and standards of medical education imparted by the Academy both for Medical Residents and for the nursing and para medical students.
As an academician, Dr. Sahasranam has served as professor of Cardiology in Medical College, Kozhikode for 13 years. For the past 19 years, he has been employing his expertise in medicine for making BMH as the biggest healthcare centre in Kerala. Considering the vast knowledge and experience, Dr. Sahasranam was promoted as Medical Director of BMH in 2013.
He earned his medical degree from Calicut University by bagging a first rank in MBBS examination in the year 1975. The veteran cardiologist also holds an MD degree in General Medicine and a DM degree in Cardiology.
